Language: Something Different ~ Something New

Can you envision speaking another language? If that’s on your bucket list you can cross it off and choose a new language to learn, and — your world would become much larger, effortless and more exciting.

Prepare yourself for taking the next step with a selected language that you’ve chosen for your upcoming vacation abroad. Consider looking into an intro workshop course to see how it goes; from there, an Adult Learning Center within your community would be an excellent place to start — and you’re bound to meet new people to converse with and become friends. You never know.

If you’re unable to attend one of these learning centers, there’s plenty of free online language courses you can take at your leisure.  To name a few:  Duolingo is just one of them, and there’s Babbel.  Then, there’s the scientifically proven Dr. Pimsleur method; it’s portable and very easy to take everywhere you go.


If you’re traveling to a foreign country, or you have a friend who speaks a different language and aching for you to learn it, these courses is a quick way to learn the vocabulary and phrases you’ll need to get through a couple of quintessential conversation and travel situations.  While some businesses may charge a small fee to take a course, some Adult Centers are free.  These centers help improve your communication skills in speaking, reading and writing.  If you already know a language and want to improve on it, the centers also teach improvement.


One good thing about engaging in a new language is that it can improve your brain. Who knew! Get started on checking for the right workshop or online course to learn your favorite new language.  Then start preparing for the vacation you’ve longed for; due to lack of communicating with the locals.
